Welcome to Ken's Portable Classroom
Hi, I am Ken, born in Taiwan and with a master’s degree of English education from Colorado State University. My teaching is guided by my philosophy that language learning is more than language itself: it embraces culture, psychology, and interpersonal communication. I am passionate about teaching English as nothing is more satisfying than seeing my students improve their English. What’s more, education is what propels the world forward. I used to work as an instructor for the ETS TOEIC Institution, and I have been teaching at several high schools in Taiwan. In addition, I have my own Facebook page called Ken’s Portable Classroom, which is well known for my own notes on learning English. These notes, systematically organized and painstakingly produced with illustrations, seek to help aid learning and memory. Other than English, I love playing instruments, be it playing the piano, recorder, or harmonica. Drawing is also my hobby. I firmly believe that learning can be always lots of fun as long as we do it in creative ways.
